Miss Catherine (Hip Hop and Jazz) Miss Catherine began dancing at Relevé Dance Centre at the age of 4 and continued up until going away to college. Her studies at Relevé included Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. While at Relevé she became a student teacher and taught in all areas of dance. She was a member of the RDC Dance Team helping to win many high scores and overall awards. In addition to her studies at Relevé she was a member of the ADTLI Dance Company, performing in their Nutcracker. Her roles included Dew Drop Fairy, Soldier Doll, Lead Marzipan. Upon Graduating from Sayville High School, Miss Catherine attended St. John’s University, School of Education and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood and Special Education/English. While at St. John’s she continued her love of dance joining their highly acclaimed dance team becoming Dance Captain in her Junior and Senior year. She was a key part in helping the dance team place 2nd in the Nation at the UDA Nationals for Division I Hip Hop. While attending St. John’s she continued her dance education attending Point Park University’s Summer Intensive (Pittsburgh, PA) taking classes in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz and Tap. She has taken classes from many world renowned master teachers and choreographer’s such as Alex Molinari (Tumbling Instructor-Prime Time Tumbling); Frank Hatchet (Jazz/Hip Hop instructor); Julie Johnson (Hip Hop Choreographer, Orlando Florida).
