Auditions for the competition team are by invitation only. We believe in building the self-esteem of our students. The teachers are continually evaluating each student to see who would do well at audition. Teachers will recommend a student that has excellent attendance in class, works hard in class (not in class for socializing only), and respects teachers and fellow students. We also look for how well a student retains and performs the dances given in class. Not all students are ready at the same time as their friends. Auditioning can be very stressful to the student. We prefer to invite students to audition to avoid feelings of failure in case the student is not ready.
